Anita Sanchez is an educator and historian who combines a love of history with a strong environmental consciousness. She is the author of The Teeth of the Lion: The Story of the Beloved and Despised Dandelion, published in 2006 by McDonald and Woodward Publishing Company. Mr. Lincoln’s Chair: The Shakers and Their Quest for Peace, has just been released by the same publisher. It is an overview of the Shakers, who were among the first conscientious objectors in America. In addition, Anita Sanchez writes for middle grade and young adults. Her historical novel The Invasion of Sandy Bay, was published by Boyds Mills Press in 2008.
